As a Front-End Developer, your main responsibility will be the production, testing, modification and maintenance of websites and web application’s user interfaces.
This is a mid weight position and we're looking for somebody with 3+ years of HTML and CSS experience through education, work experience or freelance work. Ideally you will be able to;
Deliver new and enhance existing websites
Follow responsive design principles to ensure that websites support multiple devices and multiple browsers covering desktop and mobile
Support your team to meet sprint commitments
Deliver high quality well tested software that meets agreed requirements
Promote best software development practices
Provide accurate timing estimates on work
Contribute to the company development standards working closely with the Technical Director
Discuss technical solutions with our design and development teams to provide innovative new ideas to solutions
The successful candidate will be focused on keeping up-to-date with industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, performance and emerging technologies. They will share this insight with other team members, incorporating this knowledge into future projects and positioning both themselves and Status as front-end specialists.
Skills and Experience Required
Experience of implementing WordPress themes is essential
Good understanding of Web Accessibility and best practices
Experience integrating with server-side code (e.g. ASP.NET or PHP) to produce dynamic pages
Experience working with version control systems such as SVN or GitHub
Have a genuine excitement about emerging web technologies
